Kiwanis Kindness Day

PASS IT ON!

There are many easy ways to show an act of Kindness

  • Pay it forward: Pay for the coffee or toll of the person behind you.
  • Leave kindness notes: Hide sticky notes with positive affirmations in library books, on mirrors, or in public spaces.
  • Brighten a commute: Let someone merge in traffic or go ahead of you in line.
  • Clean up: Pick up litter in a local park or neighbourhood.
  • Hide “kindness rocks”: Paint rocks with encouraging messages and leave them for others to find.
  • Help with chores: Shovel a neighbour’s driveway, rake leaves, or take their garbage cans out.
  • Visit the elderly: Spend time talking to a lonely neighbour or a resident at a senior home.
  • Donate books: Leave books in a local little free library.
  • Offer help: Offer to grocery shop or run errands for a busy or homebound neighbour.
  • Handwritten notes: Mail a letter or thank-you note to a friend or relative.
  • Unexpected treats: Drop off baked goods or dinner for a friend.
  • Call instead of text: Call a loved one just to say “hi”.
  • Actively listen: Put your phone away and give someone your full attention
