KIWANIS CLUB OF BRANTFORD APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR DONATION REQUESTS
Purpose
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The objects of Kiwanis International are:
To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life
To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships
To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards
To develop by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship
To provide through Kiwanis Clubs a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities
To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which makes possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.
Annually, the Kiwanis Club of Brantford supports the Kiwanis Foundation of Canada to assist children outside of our community. It is also a goal of the Kiwanis Club of Brantford to continue to support various charitable causes locally in Brantford and Brant County.
Primary emphasis is placed on applications that demonstrate benefits to children in Brantford and Brant County and reflect the objects of Kiwanis.

Support Guidelines All requests must be made in writing and can be sent by mail to the address below.
Please include the following information in your submission:
Organization or Individual name, address and phone number
Contact name and title
Charitable registration number
Brief history of your organization
Brief project outline
Amount of contribution sought
How the donation will be used
Who will benefit from your project or program
Most recent financial statements
Budget for the Event/Project
Has your organization received funding from Kiwanis in the past?
Recognition opportunities
Please keep submissions to a maximum of 2 pages.
The fiscal year runs from October – September. The Donations Committee meets four times per year to present submissions to the Board of directors. Submission deadlines, for fully documented applications, are: Nov. 30/23, Feb. 29/24, May 31/24, Aug. 31/24
Final decisions will be made by the Kiwanis Club of Brantford’s Board of Directors with recommendations to the Kiwanis Club of Brantford Charitable Corporation each quarter.
The Kiwanis Club of Brantford will advise applicant of the status of your request but explanations behind funding decisions will not be provided.
